Navruz in Tashkent: Azerbaijan Cultural Center held a festive concert
A festive concert was held at the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named Heydar Aliyev under the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan under the motto “Navruz – a celebration of unity and brotherhood of the Turkic world”.
The event was attended by representatives of the public, cultural and artistic figures, students, journalists, and Azerbaijanis residing in Tashkent.

Director of the center Akif Marifli noted that Navruz reflects the shared spiritual values and ancient traditions that unite the Turkic world. According to him, Navruz has for centuries contributed to strengthening friendship, solidarity, and mutual respect among peoples. He emphasized that a shared cultural heritage plays an important role in the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The Director also noted that, thanks to the joint policies of President Ilham Aliyev and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, friendship and cooperation between the countries, including in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, are developing consistently.

The concert program featured People’s Artist of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Gulyanag Mamedova, performers Fakhri Kazim-Nijat and Kamran Mammadaliyev, Honored Artists of Uzbekistan Ilyos Arabov and Mohichehra Shamuratova, as well as other performers and musical groups. The audience was presented with musical works from Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in both folk and pop genres, reflecting the rich traditions of both countries.

In addition, the “Khary Bulbul” theater troupe presented stage compositions in the spirit of classical Azerbaijani theater traditions, while the “Karabakh Zaferi” dance ensemble performed choreographic pieces based on Azerbaijani folk dances.
