A festive Navruz celebration in Türkiye

The International Organization of Turkic Culture – TURKSOY and the Office for Cooperation with Turkic States of the Justice and Development Party organized a festive event titled “Navruz is a new day” in Gaziantep.

The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of TURKSOY, Sultan Raev, along with representatives from public organizations, the parliament, and the diplomatic corps, attended the event held at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Türkiye.

Creative teams from Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan performed as part of the festive program. The audience enjoyed performances by the “Lazgi” song and dance ensemble of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan and students from the Republican Specialized Music School named after R.M. Glier.

Exhibitions focused on handicrafts and the cuisine of the Turkic states were also organized.
