The first constituent meeting of the Malaysia – Uzbekistan Business Council was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur.

The Council was founded as a separate organization by the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim.

At the Council meeting, an agreement was reached on the visit of Malaysian businesspeople to Uzbekistan in August-September this year and the holding of a business forum with their participation in the city of Khiva. The Malaysian side expressed its readiness to ensure the participation of representatives of about 30 companies.

It was also decided to hold one of the Council’s next meetings with the participation of travel companies working with Uzbekistan in Malaysia and determine further plans.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Malaysian company Al Global Corporation and Neuro Med Diagnostic Centre LLC from Samarkand region on opening a special department for training specialists in the repair of medical equipment and machinery at a medical college in this region.
