Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with the Chief Representative at the JICA Uzbekistan Office, Bito Yoshibumi.
During the discussion, it was noted that the visit of JICA President Akihiko Tanaka to Uzbekistan in January this year and his meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was a significant event that marked a new stage in the history of practical cooperation with the Agency.

The parties emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan, mainly through various JICA educational projects, is essential in strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and developing human resources.
The Japan International Cooperation Agency has supported developing countries for over 50 years to promote their socio-economic progress.

Discussions focused on organizing training courses with JICA in public administration, agriculture, energy, and the private sector, as well as ensuring broader participation of women in these programs.
The parties also addressed the prospects of implementing professional development programs for deputies of local Councils.
