President of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), Mohammed Jalood, at a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Olympic Committee, noted the historical significance of the Olympic Campus built in Tashkent and the Presidential Youth Olympic competitions held in Uzbekistan.

He also stressed that the updated Uzbek sports system attracts the attention of the international community.

Proposals were put forward to strengthen ties between Uzbekistan and the IWF and to host international competitions, championships, and prestigious sports conferences in the future.

Mohammed Jalood visited the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, established in Tashkent on the initiative of the Head of State. He noted that Uzbekistan is a country that combines an invaluable heritage and a future.
