As part of a visit to Uzbekistan, a delegation led by International Judo Federation (IJF) President Marius Vizer visited the sports facilities of the Olympic Village.
During their acquaintance with the infrastructure, the delegation highly praised Uzbekistan’s achievements in the field of sports.

At a meeting with Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Otabek Umarov, NOC Secretary General Oybek Qosimov, and Chairman of the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan Azizjon Kamilov, issues related to strengthening cooperation, implementing joint projects, and the achievements of Uzbekistan athletes on the international stage were discussed.

Mr. Vizer noted the high level of organization of the OTP Group Tashkent Grand Slam 2026 tournament and noted its significance for enhancing the country’s international prestige.
Prospects for the development of judo in Uzbekistan were also discussed during the meeting.
