The first business forum dedicated to Uzbekistan’s investment and tourism opportunities was held in Oita Prefecture, Japan. The event, which took place as part of a visit by the Uzbekistan diplomatic delegation, marked an important step in strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.

Members of the Oita Prefectural Assembly, representatives of the business community, leading tourism companies, and international organizations attended the forum.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Japan, Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, delivered a welcoming address. He spoke in detail about the favorable investment climate created in Uzbekistan, ongoing efforts to improve the quality of domestic products, the diversification of export markets, and the active development of the tourism sector.

Special attention during the presentation was given to the dynamics of Uzbekistan – Japanese economic relations, the volume of attracted investments, and prospects for cooperation in the financial and technical sectors. One of the key areas highlighted was the development of geothermal tourism in collaboration with Japanese partners.

Information was presented on Uzbekistan’s UNESCO World Heritage sites, new tourist routes, and the infrastructure created to ensure a comfortable experience for foreign visitors.

Following the forum, meetings were held with representatives of Oita’s business and tourism sectors, during which new promising areas of partnership were discussed.
