Investment agreements signed
As part of the delegation from the Republic of Karakalpakstan’s visit to China, a business forum China (Sichuan) – Uzbekistan (Karakalpakstan) was organized.
It was attended by Wang Guangjun, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Sichuan Council, along with over 150 Chinese investors and entrepreneurs.
Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbayev, spoke in detail about measures to develop the Aral Sea region, the favorable investment climate, and the system of special benefits for entrepreneurs.
During the event, the heads of Ji An Tai International Industries and China Railway Construction Heavy Industry companies highly appreciated the business conditions in Karakalpakstan and called on partners to actively cooperate with the region.
Within the framework of the forum, productive negotiations took place with representatives of several Chinese companies specializing in animal husbandry, fisheries, electrical engineering, geology, agriculture, and the furniture industry. Agreements were reached on the location of their production facilities within Karakalpakstan.
Following the event, a package of investment agreements totaling $245 million was signed across the automotive, agro-industrial complex, and textile industries.
