Important agreements reached

An Uzbekistan – China Interregional Trade and Economic Forum was held at the Oqqush Complex in Nukus.

The forum brought together entrepreneurs and investors from China. Amanbay Orinbayev, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, delivered welcoming remarks at the opening ceremony.

The forum, which brought together around 400 entrepreneurs, marked another practical step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation. Participants received information on Karakalpakstan’s economic potential, special benefits and preferences, and conditions available for investment projects.

Following the forum, participants signed agreements for 31 projects worth a total of $410 million. The projects cover mining, geology, the IT sector, agriculture, and several other industries.
