To promote tourism in Samarkand region, exhibitions and festivals are held regularly. Notably, an international hot air balloon festival was organized for the first time in Bakhrin mahalla of Urgut district.

Speaking at the festival’s opening ceremony, Acting Hokim of Samarkand region Adiz Boboyev noted that Urgut district is becoming a destination for extreme tourism.

The two-day festival brought together more than 100 participants from ten countries.

As part of the event, hot air balloon shows were held, along with various competitions, gastronomic exhibitions, and traditional national games.
