International Conference on “Imam Abu Mansur Maturidi and teachings of Maturidia: past and present” continues in Samarkand.
It was noted that large-scale reforms in the field of religion have been carried out in recent years in Uzbekistan.
Head of Al-Azhar Complex, Grand Imam of Egypt, Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb, noted the role of ancient Samarkand, in particular, Abu Mansur Maturidi’s incomparable position in Islamic development.
The conference continues its work. Representatives of Al-Azhar Complex, as well as scholars of the Council of Senior Scholars and Muslim Council of Elders will address the event.
