A trip of employees of the leading TV channel SCTV of Indonesia to Uzbekistan is organized at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism initiative in cooperation with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Jakarta. The event aims to promote culture and the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in Indonesia and increase the flow of tourists to Uzbekistan.

Founded in 1990, Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV), Indonesia’s most prominent media network, broadcasts in 240 cities nationwide. The number of viewers of SCTV, which also owns the TV channels Indosiar, Moji, Ajwa, and Mentari, has reached 160 million people.

The founders of SCTV are working on the preparation of special programs on pilgrimage tourism in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara, designed to attract the attention of the Muslim population living in Southeast Asia to Uzbekistan to increase the tourist flow.

The Surya Citra Televisi TV channel is watched by about 30 million subscribers on social networks.

During the trip to Uzbekistan, Indonesian journalists plan to prepare five 15-minute programs.
