Hokim of Andijan region Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov received a group of entrepreneurs led by Indian investor Pradeep Kumar Gupta.

The parties noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and India is developing in the economic, cultural, scientific and educational spheres. Together with Indian investors, high-tech pharmaceutical enterprises have been organized in Andijan-Pharm free economic zone, producing medical products and pharmaceuticals.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on projects to be implemented in Andijan jointly with Indian investors. In particular, the parties considered issues of ensuring the implementation of the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the establishment of Sharda University in Uzbekistan”, the opening of a modern school in Andijan, where training will be held in English, as well as the implementation of investment projects in the agricultural sector.
