The Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva held a meeting with the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The parties discussed key areas of the dynamically developing trade and economic cooperation between the regions of the two countries.

Special attention was given to strengthening humanitarian ties, grounded in the historical closeness and cultural affinity between the Uzbek and Tatar peoples. It was noted that Uzbekistan is home to the largest Tatar diaspora, and that Tatarstan is one of Uzbekistan’s leading Russian partners in education – more than 3,500 Uzbekistan students are studying at universities in the region.

Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and constructive dialogue, emphasizing confidence in the expansion and deepening of a mutually beneficial partnership between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan.
