On May 23, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Olimjon Abdullayev, met with the Ambassador of Japan, Hatori Takashi.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the negotiations focused on key issues of bilateral cooperation in labor migration and visa facilitation for Uzbekistan citizens. Special attention was given to preparing highly qualified personnel for the Japanese labor market and developing joint educational programs for pre-departure training.

The parties also addressed cases of violations of migration regulations by Uzbekistan citizens residing in Japan and discussed measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

The sides confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation to create favorable conditions for Uzbekistan citizens working in Japan.
