The Press Center of the Central Election Commission held another briefing with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the CEC B. Kuchkarov. He informed about the progress of the election process.

As noted, the voting process in the elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Local Councils of People’s Deputies continues in full swing.

Thus, 9 million 498 thousand 589 citizens, or 47.62 percent of the total number of voters, took part in the voting.

According to the Election Code, elections are considered valid if at least 33 percent of voters participate. Therefore, elections in Uzbekistan are recognized as valid.
