Apparel Textile Sourcing Uzbekistan 2026 opens as Chinese companies eye growth in Central Asia
Apparel Textile Sourcing Uzbekistan 2026 will take place from October 12 to 14 at the Uzexpocentre, bringing together textile and apparel companies from China, Uzbekistan, and other markets across Central Asia.
Launched in 2024, the event has successfully hosted two editions. This year, it will again take place alongside a series of textile exhibitions in Uzbekistan, authorized and supported by Messe Frankfurt, the German-based international trade fair organizer. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of textile and apparel raw materials, accessories, finished products, and related technologies, while creating opportunities for business exchange and cooperation across the region.
The Apparel Textile Sourcing Exhibition has become an important sourcing and business platform for the region’s textile and apparel industry. More than 150 Chinese companies are expected to participate this year, including about 80 exhibitors showcasing their products under the China Brand banner.
The exhibits will cover a broad range of products, including apparel fabrics and accessories, home and commercial textiles, and clothing and fashion accessories. Chinese companies specializing in textile machinery, equipment, and related technologies will also participate, bringing expertise and products across the textile and apparel value chain.
The event builds on the growing international participation seen in previous editions. In 2025, the exhibition series brought together more than 250 exhibitors and over 4000 visitors from 15 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Afghanistan. Nearly 100 Chinese textile and apparel companies participated, presenting their products and manufacturing technologies to buyers and industry representatives from Uzbekistan and other Central Asian markets.
The exhibition comes amid growing economic and trade ties between China and Uzbekistan, including cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. Textiles and apparel remain among China’s traditional manufacturing strengths, supported by a comprehensive industrial chain spanning raw and auxiliary materials, textile production, garment manufacturing, machinery, and related services.
China is the world’s largest producer and exporter of apparel, manufacturing more than 70 billion garments annually. Its apparel output accounts for more than half of global production, and the value of its apparel exports represents roughly 30% of the global total. The country has also developed a highly integrated textile and apparel industry, with continued advances in technology, design, and brand development enhancing the competitiveness of Chinese manufacturers in global markets.
Uzbekistan’s central location in Central Asia, combined with population growth and rapid urbanization, is contributing to rising demand for apparel, bedding, curtains, carpets, and other textile products. These trends are creating new opportunities for international suppliers while reinforcing Uzbekistan’s role as a potential hub for serving markets across Central Asia.
Against this backdrop, the exhibition is expected to strengthen business ties between Chinese and Uzbek companies and create new opportunities for cooperation. Chinese exhibitors aim to connect with manufacturers, suppliers, and buyers across the textile and apparel value chain, deepen their presence in Central Asian markets, and explore new business opportunities.
The exhibition will also give participating companies opportunities to engage with industry associations and other institutions, with discussions expected to cover broader cooperation among China, Uzbekistan, and other Central Asian markets.
