According to the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, a presentation was organized at the National Cotton Yarn Trading Centre in Urumqi for the Uzbekistan textile industry delegation.
An agreement was reached to open a representative office of the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association.

Currently, there are 3 trading houses of textile enterprises of Uzbekistan operating in China. As it was noted, Uzbekistan exports cotton yarn to China. China mainly imports artificial fibers.

At the meeting, Chinese businesspeople expressed their readiness to implement the roadmap for 2024-2025, which provides for expanded cooperation, including training specialists for the industry, implementing innovative projects in the textile sector, and creating a permanent exhibition of Uzbek products.
“The signing of an agreement on the opening of a permanent representative office of Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association at the National Cotton Yarn Trading Centre in Urumqi in March this year (with free provision of office space) became one of the most important events. This center was created to conduct research – from cotton planting to textile production, digitalization of industry, creating a certification system for cotton and textiles and ensuring the unity of the entire production chain. We can once again make sure that the textile industry of Uzbekistan is the driver of the country’s economy and a mechanism for establishing close cooperation with other countries”, said Shakhzoda Kuchkarova, Head of the Association’s Press Service.
