Representatives of accredited diplomatic missions in Uzbekistan, ambassadors, foreign experts, and heads of international organizations have extended their sincere congratulations to the country’s people on the 34th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s independence.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Uzbekistan, Daniel Cristian Ciobanu, also extended his congratulations to our compatriots on the most significant and cherished holiday – Independence Day.
– On behalf of the Embassy of Romania in Tashkent and personally, I warmly congratulate the people of Uzbekistan on their national holiday – the 34th anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan! This is a special date that symbolizes the Uzbek people’s aspiration for freedom, sovereignty, and sustainable development, – the Ambassador noted. – Over these years, Uzbekistan has achieved impressive success in the socio-economic and cultural spheres, demonstrated its commitment to strengthening international cooperation, and secured a worthy place on the world stage.
Romania highly values the friendship and mutual respect with Uzbekistan. On October 6, 2025, Romania and Uzbekistan will mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations. We are confident that thanks to open dialogue, mutually beneficial projects, and a sincere desire to develop a partnership, our relations will continue to deepen successfully. I would especially like to note that Romania is closely following the dynamic development of Uzbekistan, as well as the large-scale reforms and modernization being carried out in the country. We sincerely wish success in continuing this important path and well-being to all citizens of Uzbekistan.
The Ambassador also noted that our peoples have many opportunities for joint projects in the economy, education, culture, tourism, and people-to-people ties. He also emphasized that in recent years, there has been significant growth in trade volume between Romania and Uzbekistan.
– As a member state of the European Union, Romania will continue to firmly support the development of relations between the EU and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Once again, I sincerely congratulate all citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Independence Day! I wish peace, prosperity, strong health, and success in the fulfillment of all noble aspirations!
