Ambassador Alexey Yerkhov: “2025 has become a productive stage in cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan”

Representatives of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Uzbekistan continue to send New Year greetings to the people of the country.

In his New Year address, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Alexey Yerkhov, summed up the development of relations between Russia and Uzbekistan in 2025, describing this period as a truly dynamic and productive stage.

According to the diplomat, Russia and Uzbekistan made significant progress in strengthening their strategic partnership, achieving meaningful political results and practical success in key areas of cooperation. Cooperation was consistently expanded in the economy and trade, energy and industry, transport and logistics, agriculture, digital technologies, science and education, culture, and humanitarian exchanges. Regular, trust-based, and substantive contacts were maintained at the level of heads of state, governments, parliaments, regions, relevant agencies, and expert communities.

The Ambassador emphasized that intensive delegation exchanges have become an established practice, enabling prompt coordination of decisions and filling the bilateral agenda with concrete substance focused on the interests of the citizens of Russia and Uzbekistan. He expressed confidence that, in 2026, the sides would continue implementing ambitious plans to strengthen cooperation, launch new joint projects, expand interregional ties, and create additional conditions for economic growth, technological development, and an improved quality of life for the population.

In conclusion, the Ambassador wished the people of Uzbekistan peace, stability, prosperity, and confidence for the future, as well as new achievements and success in 2026.
