Uzbekistan’s Abdurakhmon Azimjonov won a prize at the 24th World Chess Championship for Persons with Disabilities, in Goa, India.

The championship was organized by the institutions in the system of the International Chess Federation and the Paralympic Committee of India. 89 athletes from 16 countries are taking part in it.

Seven chess players represented Uzbekistan in the championships. A. Azimjonov took the honorable third place in blitz among boys under 15 years of age.

Rapid matches will start on July 25. The World Championship, with a prize pool of $15 thousand, will run until July 30.
