The car of the future: a new stage in the activities of Zeekr
During the SCO forum “Green and Sustainable Development”, participants got acquainted with the activities of the Zeekr Smart Factory Meishan, located on Meishan Island in Ningbo.
The plant has a production capacity of 300,000 vehicles per year, covers more than 120 hectares, and is considered one of the most advanced modern industrial enterprises. It stands out as one of the world’s “factories of the future”, designed entirely using 3D digital technologies.

In the exhibition hall, examples of waste heat recovery, rainwater recycling, and solar energy use were presented.
Artificial intelligence, the industrial internet, and vast data are deeply integrated across the enterprise. Through more than 2,000 units of digital equipment, the production process has been fully digitized. As a result, efficiency has increased, enabling transparent process management and quality control.

“Digital twin” technologies and the custom-to-manufacturing (C2M) production system mark a new stage in modern mechanical engineering. Advanced solutions, including an 800-volt platform, high-efficiency motors, batteries, and a safety system, have also been implemented at the facility.

The assembly shop, considered the plant’s most complex and critical stage, covers 120,000 square meters. Five vehicle brands are assembled here simultaneously. The workshop is fully automated and operates based on complex, coordinated control.
In 2025, the enterprise was granted the status of a National Green Factory, and the complex complies with environmental standards.

The plant demonstrates that high efficiency can be achieved through digitalization, an environmental approach, and harmony with innovation. Zeekr’s experience provides insight into the industry of the future.
