Collaboration in cybersecurity and telecommunications enhances
During his working visit to Russia, the Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, visited the Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications named after Bonch-Bruevich.
At the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in digital education, scientific research, 5G/6G technologies, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.


Particular attention was given to strengthening the partnership among SPbSUT, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, and Cyber University. The parties agreed to expand joint educational programs, launch dual-degree programs, and create additional opportunities for citizens of Uzbekistan to pursue master’s and doctoral (PhD) programs.


In addition, prospects for establishing a joint research center focused on telecommunications technologies and next-generation communication networks were considered.
During the visit, the minister also met with students from Uzbekistan who are studying at the university.
