Uzbekistan to host IOI 2026

From August 9 to 16, Uzbekistan will host the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026).

The IOI is one of the most prestigious programming competitions for high school students and serves as a platform for technology giants and leading global research institutions to identify talented young people.

Notably, IOI 2026 has set a record for the number of participating countries in the competition’s history. A total of 386 talented students from 97 countries will take part in the International Olympiad.

The Uzbekistan national team, earning silver and bronze medals at the 2025 Olympiad in Bolivia, will now demonstrate its skills on home territory.
