Academies of Sciences of Uzbekistan and Belarus to expand cooperation
A meeting took place at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus between Academician Shavkat Ayupov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Vladimir Karanik, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The parties discussed the current cooperation and prospects between the Academies of Sciences of both countries. They shared views on advancing fundamental and applied research, commercializing innovations, and executing joint scientific projects across fields such as mathematics, nuclear physics, chemistry, materials science, biotechnology, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence, and other priority sectors. They also agreed to strengthen connections between research centers, facilitate the exchange of young scientists, and organize joint scientific events.

Following the meeting, both parties emphasized that science and innovation are central to the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Belarus. They declared their willingness to support joint efforts to foster mutually beneficial scientific collaboration, share scientific resources, and develop advanced technologies. Additionally, the parties agreed to form a joint working group and develop a strategic roadmap.
