Uzbekistan and Türkiye intensify cooperation in the mining industry
In Uzbekistan, significant attention is given to implementing investment projects in the mining industry and geology to expand the mineral resource base, develop promising deposits, and process minerals.
Developing cooperation with foreign companies in this field plays a key role. Special emphasis was placed on this issue during the meeting between the Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobur Islamov and a delegation led by Mehmet Ali İslamoğlu, CEO of Nakkaş Holding.
The parties discussed the possibilities of developing partnerships in the mining industry and geology, as well as the implementation of joint investment projects.
Nakkaş Holding, established in 2023 and comprising more than 20 companies, operates in oil and petroleum refining, renewable energy, industry, services, and mining. The company carries out its activities in the latter segment through the Nakkaş Madencilik structure.
During the meeting, the parties considered Nakkaş Holding’s participation in developing promising areas, as well as areas of cooperation to expand the mineral and raw material base and establish new production capacities.
According to the Ministry, special attention was also given to the possibilities of involving the company in projects for processing industrial and waste piles.
