German companies are interested in expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan
A meeting took place at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany to discuss the current state of economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany and priority areas for its further development.
The event took place on the eve of the Meeting of the Committee on Foreign Economic Relations of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK). It was attended by representatives of the German business community, members of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, experts, and representatives of organizations and companies involved in developing economic ties between the two countries.
Opening the meeting, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Germany Dilshod Akhatov emphasized that trade, economic, and investment cooperation is becoming one of the key dimensions of bilateral relations.
The panel discussion offered a detailed review of opportunities to expand German companies’ presence in Uzbekistan, implement investment projects, strengthen industrial cooperation, and increase bilateral trade.
Peter Kulitz, Chairman of the DIHK Foreign Trade Committee, noted that Uzbekistan’s steady economic growth in recent years has sparked growing interest among German businesspeople.
“We stay in regular contact with German companies operating in Uzbekistan. It is essential for German businesses to experience the country’s economic developments firsthand, meet local partners, and explore new opportunities”, Peter Kulitz noted.
Embassy representatives stated that the Berlin meeting created further opportunities to expand direct dialogue between the two countries’ business communities and advance new practical projects.
