The development and prospects of legal sciences during independence

The National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted the national scientific-practical conference titled “35th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan: Evolution of statehood and legal system. Development and prospects of legal sciences”.

The National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized the event in collaboration with the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Coordination Council for the Development of Legal Sciences in Uzbekistan.

The conference was attended by professors and lecturers from Uzbekistan’s higher education and research institutions specializing in law, as well as researchers, doctoral students, independent researchers, bachelor’s and master’s students, law enforcement officers, judicial and justice officials, members of the academic community, NGO representatives, and media personnel.

Academician Akmal Saidov, deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Director of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan, opened the conference. He emphasized the importance of discussing the achievements and current problems of legal science in the scientific analysis of the processes of forming, developing, and modernizing statehood and the legal system of Uzbekistan.

Mr. Saidov detailed the processes and outcomes of the extensive reforms in this area, driven by these legal documents.

Overall, the conference thoroughly analyzed the formation, development, and modernization of Uzbekistan’s statehood and legal system during independence, as well as achievements and current issues in legal science.
