President of Uzbekistan congratulates President of Kazakhstan on the successful Kurultai Elections

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated the President of Kazakhstan on successfully holding the country’s first-ever elections for the unicameral Kurultai. 

Confidence was expressed that the new Kurultai will become an important factor in advancing consistent reforms in Kazakhstan, provide effective legislative support for large-scale transformations, and give new impetus to the country’s sustainable development.

During the conversation, the Heads of State expressed satisfaction with the rapid growth of the strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. 

Special focus was given to increasing mutual trade, boosting industrial cooperation, executing joint investment initiatives, enhancing transport and logistics infrastructure, and opening new avenues for business contacts between the regions of both countries. 

The leaders also exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
