Major infrastructure projects underway in Chortoq district
Efforts are underway in Chortoq district, Namangan region, to improve transport and social infrastructure and make life more comfortable for residents.
In particular, a full reconstruction of the bridge over the railway is underway at kilometers 15-16 on the D-111 highway. Built in 1974, the bridge connects the Uychi and Chortoq districts.
As part of the 36 billion UZS project, a new four-lane bridge and pedestrian walkways are being built in accordance with modern standards. The work is being carried out by Romitan Trans Yo‘l Qurilish LLC.
Reconstruction of the Furkat Culture and Recreation Park is also underway in the district as part of the Integrated Development of Medium-Sized Cities project, implemented jointly with the World Bank. The project is valued at 34.854 billion UZS.
The park is planned to be expanded with modern landscaping solutions. Modern lighting equipment and attractions for children and young people will be installed, and recreational areas and walking paths will also be created.
The implementation of these projects is expected to support the development of tourism and services and enhance the district’s economic potential.
