Collaboration to popularize the heritage of Ibn Sina at the international level
The Director of the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety Alisher Temirov met with the Chairman of the Board of the Ibn Sino Public Foundation Nozimkhon Makhmudov.
The meeting focused on promoting the outstanding scholar Abu Ali ibn Sino’s significant contributions to global science, particularly medicine and pharmacology. Discussions also touched on the need for in-depth study of his rich scientific legacy and fostering international research collaboration in this field.
The parties exchanged views on establishing and developing a national brand to promote the scholar’s name and scientific achievements globally, and on jointly organizing scientific and practical events devoted to studying Avicenna’s heritage.
The issue of organizing the first scientific expedition by Uzbek scientists to India in November this year was also considered. It is planned to study the manuscripts of the great scientist stored in this country and to hold scientific meetings with local experts in pharmacology and pharmaceutical control.
The expedition creates opportunities to explore Avicenna’s scientific heritage using modern approaches, strengthening existing research ties and shaping new pathways for international collaboration.
This initiative will also widely promote the scientific heritage of the great scholar both in Uzbekistan and abroad, foster deeper study of his role in the development of world science, and popularize the name of Ibn Sina within the international scientific and cultural community.
