Children’s Music and Art School to be named after Farrukh Zakirov
On April 15 this year, a presidential resolution was adopted to promote the creative work of People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Farrukh Zakirov.
According to the resolution, Children’s Music and Art School No. 7 in Yashnabad district of Tashkent will be named after Farrukh Zakirov.
A children’s ensemble, “Yalla”, will be established at the school. A youth creative laboratory and performance mastery classes in the pop genre will be created using the “mentor – student” tradition.
Mentors of the School of Mastery will receive monthly incentives funded by the state budget in the amount of five minimum wages.
Beginning in the 2026/2027 academic year, within the framework of the youth creative laboratory, a group of three gifted students from children’s music and art schools in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the regions, and the city of Tashkent will be formed. During the school holidays, they will be able to study pop vocals free of charge as part of the courses.
By the 2026/2027 academic year, a modern recording and video production studio, equipped with the necessary equipment and stage costumes, will be established. The creative works of students attending the school and the courses will be broadcast on television and posted on international online platforms.
