Uzbekistan – China: Preparations underway for the third interregional forum

Samarkand Region Hokim Adiz Boboyev met with Yang Wanming, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

The parties noted that cooperation between Samarkand region and China’s regions is strengthening and discussed ongoing joint projects, their outcomes, and plans.

Mr. Adiz Boboyev emphasized that Samarkand region has established sister-region relations with nine regions of China, noting that this cooperation spans not only trade and economic ties but also cultural and humanitarian areas.

Mr. Yang Wanming highly praised the joint work, noting the successful hosting of the second interregional cooperation forum and announcing that the third forum is planned for the end of May this year. It was stated that the forum will be of great importance in strengthening the agreements reached and in achieving new results in the trade, economic, and investment spheres.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expand practical dialogue to serve the interests of the regions and contribute to common development.
