The President of Uzbekistan receives a Russian delegation
On April 20, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov who is leading the Russian delegation at the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia”, currently underway in Tashkent.
The meeting was also attended by the heads of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Leningrad, Kirov, Irkutsk, and Omsk, along with representatives of several leading Russian companies.


At the beginning of the conversation, the high-ranking guest conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The President of Uzbekistan welcomed the successful organization and execution of the sixth “INNOPROM” exhibition, which brought together more than 10,000 business representatives from 35 countries.


Issues regarding the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, first and foremost in the trade and economic sphere, were discussed.
With satisfaction, the steady growth in trade volumes and the successful implementation of projects in industry, peaceful nuclear energy, energy, transportation, metallurgy, chemistry, and other sectors were noted.


The importance of taking coordinated measures to maintain the momentum of trade turnover, accelerate cooperation projects in priority sectors, including within the framework of industrial zones, and continue active contacts at the regional and business levels was emphasized.
Plans in promising areas, including agricultural machinery manufacturing, energy efficiency, water management, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, were supported.


Special attention was given to training engineering personnel for key sectors of the economy through joint technical universities.
Also, on the sidelines of the meeting, heads of regions and companies from Russia presented the Leader of Uzbekistan with concrete plans for implementing new projects across various sectors.
