The meeting of the Permanent Commission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly takes place
A meeting of the Permanent Commission of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States on Political Issues and International Cooperation took place in Saint Petersburg.
Odiljon Mamatkarimov, Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Science, Education, and Healthcare, participated in the event as a member of Uzbekistan’s parliamentary delegation.

Members of parliament discussed several important initiatives to strengthen international humanitarian law amid contemporary threats and challenges.
Special attention was paid to protecting medical institutions and citizens’ personal data in cyberspace, as well as to organizing safe maritime corridors.
Information was also presented on the preliminary outcomes of the international conference titled “Legislative Regulation of the Use of Artificial Intelligence and New Technologies for Counterterrorism Purposes and the Prevention of Radicalism and Extremism”.
