Ziyoviddin Khojiniyozov elected First Vice President of the International Kurash Association
A regular meeting of the International Kurash Association (IKA) Executive Committee was held.
Priority areas of the organization’s activities and plans were discussed.
An exchange of views took place regarding the admission of the kurash federations of Switzerland, Italy, and Sri Lanka as members of the IKA.
The final decision on this issue will be submitted for consideration at the IKA Congress, to be held in Kazakhstan.
Issues related to the organization of continental championships and kurash competitions within the programs of the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) were at the center of attention.
At the meeting, chaired by the President of the International Kurash Association, Haider Farman, an organizational matter was discussed.
The Executive Committee accepted the resignation of Indian statesman and public figure Jagdish Tytler, who had effectively served for many years as the organization’s First Vice President.
Ziyoviddin Khojiniyozov, who previously served as IKA Vice President for International Cooperation and Games, was unanimously elected First Vice President of the IKA.
