UzA signs a Cooperation Agreement with the Bulgarian News Agency
Thanks to Uzbekistan’s balanced, mutually beneficial, and pragmatic foreign policy, the country has achieved notable progress in building friendly international relations in recent years.
The positive changes occurring in the country are boosting international interest in Uzbekistan and enhancing its global standing. As reforms continue, they also create opportunities for the media to deepen partnerships with leading global news agencies, facilitate regular information exchange, and quickly deliver accurate and trustworthy updates on worldwide events.

It should be noted that in recent years, Uzbekistan’s cooperation with European countries has been steadily expanding across various areas. In this context, regular information exchange with Bulgaria, which holds an important place in the region, is becoming particularly important.
To further develop comprehensive cooperation with the Republic of Bulgaria, the Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA).

UzA Director General Abdusaid Kuchimov and BTA Director General Kiril Valchev signed the document, marking another step in strengthening the information partnership between Uzbekistan and European countries.
During the meeting in Sofia, Mr. Kuchimov emphasized that strengthening cooperation with mass media worldwide is one of the agency’s strategic objectives.

“Our peoples are bound by centuries-old ties of friendship, mutual respect, and trust-based cooperation”, the head of UzA says. “Political, economic, and cultural ties between our countries are reaching a qualitatively new level year after year. Bulgaria is one of Uzbekistan’s most reliable and significant partners in the European Union. It is important that the public in our country can now receive information about life in Bulgaria, its rich cultural heritage, and its economic potential directly from the source. In turn, residents of Bulgaria and other European countries will regularly receive objective information about the dynamic transformations taking place in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, the region’s tourism potential, and the reforms being implemented”.

The agreement aims to create an objective and reliable information space between UzA and BTA by covering current events in the two countries’ lives, the regional and international agenda, the development of intercultural dialogue, and the exchange of professional experience within the framework of broad bilateral cooperation.
“We are pleased to establish a partnership with UzA”, says BTA Director General Kiril Valchev. “This is our first step toward developing cooperation with the countries of Central Asia. I regularly read UzA’s English-language publications. The agency has established itself as a reliable source of information on Uzbekistan, the region, and global events”.

The parties will regularly exchange information and professional experience and will also have the opportunity to mutually use information materials, photo content, and video materials.
The Bulgarian News Agency also published a report on its official website about the signing of the Cooperation Agreement with UzA. The report notes that the BTA team is pleased that Uzbekistan’s leading state news agency has become the agency’s first partner in Central Asia. In addition, confidence was expressed that an effective partnership will strengthen ties between the two countries.
