Ongoing work on tourism development under discussion
A meeting of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investment and Tourism took place.
Information from Andijan region’s hokimiyat on the progress of work to develop tourism in the region within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals was heard at the meeting.
Developing the existing tourism infrastructure, attracting foreign investment in the industry, improving the quality of service, and increasing the tourist flow were discussed.
The parties exchanged views on creating amenities and modern facilities for tourists at cultural heritage sites and tourist areas.
The necessity of intensifying cooperation with foreign countries in tourism, as well as the wide promotion of the region’s tourism potential at international tourism exhibitions and festivals, was emphasized.
Suggestions and recommendations were made regarding the formation of a single territorial brand for Andijan region, the introduction of comprehensive travel packages, the effective implementation of investment projects, and the expansion of modern tourist services.
Following the meeting, the committee reached a decision.
