In Uzbekistan, there are 4.7 million Facebook users, 3.7 million Instagram, 288 thousand LinkedIn, 18 million Telegram, 16.7 million Odnoklassniki, 51.6 thousand Twitter and 2.6 million – VKontakte users.

According to the upper house of parliament, these data were announced at a meeting of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on information policy and ensuring openness in state bodies.

The participants of the meeting discussed the issue of sending a parliamentary request to the Cabinet of Ministers on the initiative of the Committee on the development of national content for youth and minors on the Internet, the culture of their use of social networks and protection from harmful information.
