China celebrates Spring Festival
In China, the traditional Spring Festival is considered the largest and most important nationwide holiday.
It is usually celebrated according to the lunar calendar and includes several days of holiday, family gatherings, travel, and large-scale cultural events, fostering a sense of unity and shared tradition.

The festival, which draws millions of people, reflects cultural traditions and serves as an indicator of the country’s economic activity.
The recent holiday period once again demonstrated China’s economic resilience, the potential of its domestic market, and technological progress. The flow of foreign visitors wishing to take part in the celebrations also increased. During the holiday, box office revenue exceeded 5.5 billion yuan. Sales in shopping centers intensified. In the tourism and leisure sector, offline payments grew by 20 percent compared with the previous year. Interest in long-term and individual travel increased, showing steady growth in domestic tourism. Some international media outlets described the Spring Festival as a “catalyst for the global economy”.

Technological achievements were widely showcased during the holidays. Stage performances featuring humanoid robots attracted particular interest. The scale of AI-based services also expanded.
The Spring Festival has become not only a national event but also an important period for demonstrating economic activity, technological progress, and the results of the country’s open policy.
