Uzbekistan’s tourism potential will be showcased to the Spanish audience through a photo project
Famous Spanish researcher and photographer Pablo Martínez Muñiz led a press tour to Uzbekistan to promote the country’s tourism potential to a European audience.
From March 30 to April 13, a study tour for a group of Spanish representatives is taking place in Uzbekistan, organized by the Tourism Committee in cooperation with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain. During the visit, the participants will tour Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm, and Kashkadarya regions, as well as key sights in Tashkent, including historical sites and modern architectural complexes.

During the press tour, the team creates photographic materials and media content centered on Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage and modern development. As a result, they plan to release a photo album, organize a photo exhibition, and record two podcasts in Spanish, which will be shared on international platforms like Amazon Music and Spotify.
Special attention is given to the research: participants are examining archival materials related to the trips of 19th-century French photographer Paul Nadar to Turkestan. Based on the collected data, the plan is to prepare a scientific article and publications for specialized journals focused on the region’s visual history.
It is noted that the project’s implementation aims to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, develop cultural and gastronomic tourism, and enhance the country’s international image as a desirable travel destination.
