Uzbekistan’s para-athletes kicked off the continental championship successfully

Para-athletes from Uzbekistan secured four medals on the first day of the Para Powerlifting Asia-Oceania Open Championships in Bangkok, Thailand.

At the competition, which brought together about 250 para-athletes from 28 countries, Bakhriddin Kholbutayev, competing in the -54 kg weight class, lifted 121 kg to win the gold medal and also earned a bronze medal in the overall standings with a total of 237 kg.

Uzbekistan’s young athlete Abdulloh Abdulazizov won two silver medals in the -49 kg weight class.
