Para-athletes win 12 medals

At the Para Athletics Grand Prix in Morocco, nearly 500 Paralympians from 57 countries competed.

Member of the Uzbekistan national team, Omadbek Khasanov, won a gold medal in the 100 meters (T46 classification) and the long jump (T46). Islom Elmurodov (F33) in the javelin throw, Husniya Olimjonova (T12) in the long jump, and Rokiya Musinova in shot put (F57) and discus throw (F57) were awarded silver medals. Husniya Olimjonova (T12) also won a bronze medal. Bronze medals were also claimed by Sevinchbek Khusanov (T12), Abdulaziz Abdukhakimov (F32), Husniddin Norbekov (F35), Hikmatillo Mamarozikov (F46), and Gulnora Tuychiyeva (T11).

Over the three-day competition, Uzbekistan’s para-athletes won 2 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
