The Russian delegation visits Victory Park
First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, Sergei Kiriyenko, began his visit to Uzbekistan by laying flowers at the Ode to Fortitude monument in Tashkent’s Victory Park.
First, members of the Russian delegation honored the shared pages of history, including the victory in World War II, and paid tribute to the memory of those who heroically fell on the battlefields.
The guests then became familiar with the Museum of Glory’s exhibitions, dedicated to the courage and resilience of our people during the war years and to labor heroism on the home front.
During the visit, detailed information was presented on the concept behind the museum’s creation and on the ongoing spiritual and educational activities.
Special attention was given to issues of friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Russia, the preservation of historical memory, and the development of cooperation in the patriotic upbringing of youth.
Mr. Kiriyenko highly appreciated the spiritual role of Victory Park, emphasizing the complex’s significance not only as a historical monument but also as an important factor in educating the younger generation in the spirit of national and universal values.
The distinguished guest left an entry in the museum’s Book of Honored Guests.
