The Russian delegation met with students of the Tashkent Branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI
A delegation led by Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, visited the Tashkent branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
At the higher educational institution, established within the framework of implementing the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 20, 2018, “On the establishment and organization of the activities of the branch of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education ‘National Research Nuclear University MEPhI’ in the city of Tashkent”, about 250 students are currently studying based on world educational standards.
It should be noted that National Research Nuclear University MEPhI is considered a leading university with global potential for training specialists in engineering physics. The university ranks fourth in the world for education and research in nuclear energy and technologies.
Members of the delegation met with students in the university’s co-working zone. It was noted that an education system focused on nuclear physics, energy, engineering, and modern technologies offers young people broad opportunities.
After that, a tour of the branch was organized for the guests. They were introduced to the laboratories of the advanced engineering school and lecture halls such as “Virtual Reality and Reverse Engineering”, “Energy Audit and Energy Service”, and “Analytical Simulators of Nuclear Power Plants”.
Detailed information was presented on work being carried out using modern technologies. In particular, practical developments aimed at improving energy efficiency, conserving resources, and analyzing energy consumption at enterprises were demonstrated. A presentation of ongoing innovative projects and startups was also held.
