Uzbekistan’s second-ranked Polina Kudermetova advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA 125 Grand Prix Open International Tournament in Spain.

In the first round, she confidently defeated Egyptian Mayar Sherif 6:1, 7:5. In the following round, Kudermetova beat Frenchwoman Jessika Ponchet 6:1, 6:2 and advanced to the tournament’s quarterfinals.
