New cooperation opportunities between Uzbekistan and KOICA identified
Ulugbek Khusainov, Director of the Agency for Governance Efficiency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with Shin Myung Seop, Director of the KOICA Uzbekistan Office.
During the dialogue, key areas of cooperation were discussed. Specifically, plans include organizing short-term training courses and internships in the Republic of Korea for rural activists, officials of hokimiyats, and specialists in urban infrastructure management.
To address traffic congestion in Samarkand, the well-known Seoul TOPIS model will be implemented, which involves organizing transport management based on big data analysis and broad application of decision-making practices at the local level.

A regional center for cybercrime detection is planned to be established based on the Law Enforcement Academy of Uzbekistan. It will incorporate training programs that include advanced Korean technologies and models, along with the experience of KNPA and KISA.
Training sessions will be conducted for district hokims of Samarkand and Namangan regions on the use of artificial intelligence tools and IoT technologies in municipal governance.

Following the meeting, the parties signed an agreement to implement a joint project aimed at enhancing the capacity of civil servants in Uzbekistan.
