Jamshid Kuchkarov met with the head of ACWA Power
A meeting was held between the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov and Mohammad Abunayyan, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA.
Within the framework of the 59th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank, the parties discussed ways to develop mutually beneficial cooperation. In particular, they exchanged views on ongoing joint projects and their outcomes, on expanding cooperation into new areas, and on broadening the scope of projects.
During the discussions, particular attention was paid to initiatives based on public-private partnerships. In particular, the focus was on constructing a multidisciplinary hospital in Fergana within the healthcare sector, developing transport infrastructure, notably the implementation of the “New Tashkent” international airport project, and projects for the production of green energy.
The meeting also featured an exchange of views on the country’s macroeconomic growth indicators, digital transformation, and prospects for implementing new projects in the communications and IT sectors.
According to the Ministry, following the talks, the parties agreed to deepen cooperation and expand the scope of effective, mutually beneficial projects.
