Development of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry discussed in Shanghai

Uzbekistan delegation comprising specialists from the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency and the State Unitary Enterprise Pharm Service is taking part in the international exhibition CPHI & PMEC China 2026 in Shanghai.

The event is one of the largest international platforms in the pharmaceutical industry. Its participants include leading companies in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients, finished medicines, biotechnology, packaging technologies, laboratory equipment, pharmaceutical engineering, and logistics services.

As part of the exhibition, members of the delegation are meeting with pharmaceutical product manufacturers, raw material suppliers, representatives of investment companies, research centers, and international organizations.

During the negotiations, issues related to the development of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry, the attraction of modern technologies, the implementation of investment projects, the expansion of local production, and the increase of export potential are being discussed.

Foreign partners are being provided with information about the reforms being implemented in the country’s pharmaceutical and medical sectors, the favorable conditions created for investors, as well as consulting, marketing, and medicines registration services.
