A performer from Uzbekistan becomes the winner of “VITEBSK-2023”
Belarus hosted the XXXII International Pop Song Performers Contest and the XXI International Children Music Contest “VITEBSK-2023” as part of the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk.
At the closing gala concert at the Summer Amphitheater, the most exciting event was the final of the International Pop Song Performers Contest.
Singers from 15 countries, who performed with Slavic hits the day before, accompanied by the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, in the second round, which was included in the program of the gala concert, sang world hits with the support of the show-ballet “Sensation” and “Kevi Pro Ballet”.
A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners took place.
The Grand Prix of the International Pop Song Performers Contest – a special prize, “Lira”, was presented by the Chairman of the jury, People’s Artist of Russia Dmitry Malikov to the singer from Armenia Masha Mnjoyan, who scored the highest number of points in two days of competitive performances – 135. The first prize was awarded to the Belarusian performer Samir Yolchiev, who was only one point behind Masha.
The winners of the second prize were Italian Agape and Russian Elizaveta Slyshkina.
The third prize was shared by Uzbekistan’s Malika Hakimova and Kuralay Meirambek (Kazakhstan).
